Abstract
Reprocessing is considered as an important link in the back-end nuclear fuel cycle. China developed the military reprocessing technology successfully in 1960s but did not continue to support R&D on the commercial reprocessing for some reasons. Currently China's backwardness on the commercial reprocessing is restricting the sustainable development of nuclear power. In this paper, the tortuous development of commercial reprocessing technology is discussed.
