Abstract:

In recent years, sex robots get more and more attention in academic circles, while some companies have begun to develop and sell sex robots. The results from surveys in many countries show that a certain percentage of people think they would have sex with a robots, but the percentage is not high. The ethical debates about sex robots mainly include the objectification of women, consent and rape, deception and self-deception, social isolation, and whether we should campaign against sex robots, etc. In order to prevent the ethical risks, this essay argues that the positive sexuality, positive psychology and positive technology could serve as a basis for future research. At the same time, we should build sex robots into artificial moral agents, delineate the bottom line of development and application, improve the ethical norms, and establish a comprehensive risk prevention system.
