Abstract

The problem of contradiction is an important one that restricts the development of AI. The epistemological interpretation of contradiction indicates that contradiction results from contradictory information, so the best way to solve the problem is to analyze contradictory information and get effective evidence for the proposition. Annotated logic presented by some logicians can be used to analyze contradictory information, because it can get the degree of certainty, the degree of contradiction and the real degree of evidence for the proposition by the analysis of favorable and unfavorable evidences, and therefore interpret the meaning of the proposition. The analysis of contradiction based on annotated logic not only promotes the development of AI, but it also explores the trends of computerization in the research on human rational thinking.
