Abstract
Determinism is an effective tool and means to solve problems on the epistemology level (Not on the ontology level) for soft computing; The deductive process of soft computing also rigorously allows the axiomatic laws about causality and regularity; Soft computing against any forms of strict determinism (mechanic determinism) , non-determinism and anti-determinism, which keeps a scientific and principled determinism; Determinism thought is a reliable support for soft computing to hold a position of realism of science when coping with some problems of fuzziness, randomness and roughness with uncertainty and imprecision. Soft computing provides a more solid foundation for determinism thought to expand its influence and consolidate its position in contemporary burgeoning fields of science.
