Feminist psychology has very important metholdogical meaning to Western psychology since its coming onto the historical stage of psychology. The criticism of feminism psychology to the key assumption of mainstream psychology — — — objectivity and value - free theory — — — has shaken the arrogant status of positivism in psychology ,and made it possible that psychologists pay more attention to the historical and cultural factors. Feminist psychology also has shaken the andocentric status of mainstream psychology ,and made the women ’ s experiences and subjectivity the object of psychological study. The epistemologies ,initiated by feminist psychology ,has arisen psychologists ’ reflection upon the methdology of mainstream pschology from different angles and promoted the methodological reconstruction in psychology.
