Psychiatry has the character of transdiscipline. The development of psychiatry in certain historical stage is not only determined by the level of the medical science，but also has tight relation with the dominate philosophic idea at that time. This thesis investigated the philosophic foundation of modern psychiatry from the perspective of the history of psychiatry，pointed out the dialectical interactive relation between psychiatry and philosophy.
