The Environmental Culture:The Lag and Adaptation
The first part of the article describes W. F. Ogburn’s hypothesis of culture lag, which involves the part of environmental culture. The second part explains that modernization belongs to industrialization and rationalization, which results in the lag of environmental culture. The third part shows the conceptions and actions which promote the adaptive function of environmental culture. this gives us a new view for study of environmental problems in the frame of the scientific sociology.
